Stocking Stuffer Ideas for a 4 Year Old
Let’s talk stocking stuffers! Today’s post is a bit of a throwback as this was last year’s stocking for our older child, but I find these sorts of posts so helpful for planning out stocking stuffers that aren’t candy or a total waste of money. Stocking stuffers can add up so quickly, but the question I always ask myself is after a week or two will any of it still be used?
I’m happy (& relieved haha) to report that even a year later, all of these items are still on regular rotation here in our house, so let’s jump into what they are!
Stocking Stuffer Ideas for a 4 Year Old:
Mader Kaleidoscope - Mader makes such great toys! We love all of their tops but this kaleidoscope has been a fun addition too :)
Ostheimer angel - these are so cute to have out leading up to Christmas & I love that they rock!
Hazel Village mini animal - we love to collect these & Hazel Village always designs such cute ones
Melissa & Doug Water Wow Pad - these are so great to take to restaurants, waiting rooms, etc to occupy little hands :)
Plan Toys Pick Up Sticks - a fun quick game for working on those fine motor skills & building up patience
Olive & June nail polish in Bold & Unshaken - always a fun thing to do & I love that Olive & June are 15 free!
Kids Book Lamp - I love that this one is rechargeable & has 3 different light settings! It has been used pretty much every night since last Christmas & is still working great
Grapat Little Thing - I love how it can be top, a cup, a little face - so cute!
Mini baking set - I picked these up from the Target dollar spot last year & they have been so great for pretend play as well as real baking! Here is something similar that could work
Large Flower Clips - these were such a fun find! They’re great for making little flower bracelets with their interconnecting beads. They also come in a smaller size
Stickers - need I say more? Truthfully, I bought this pack back in 2020, & have grabbed a sheet or 2 at a time for stocking stuffers, Easter baskets or whenever the need arises for a brief moment of sanity, & I still have plenty leftover for another few years of gifting
As a family tradition, we also add in an orange & apple to everyone’s stockings. I grew up always having those in my stocking - something that was a holdover from my grandparents & a reminder that even a simple piece of fruit can be a luxury to have.
While some of the links above are affiliate, most of them are linked to wonderful small shops & sites like The Wooden Wagon, Oak & Ever, Hazel Village & Fair Play Projects & Toys.
I hope you found this helpful! I’m also hoping to post our stocking stuffers for this year soon. As a visualizer I find these sorts of breakdowns useful for future planning, so hopefully you do too :)
