Stocking Stuffer Ideas for a 5 Year Old

Today I finally managed to rediscover all the little items I have bought throughout the year & do our stocking stuffer dress rehearsal. This is probably something that only I do, but I have found over the years that it’s a lot less stressful on Christmas Eve if I made time earlier in the week to gather all of the things & do a run through of filling each stocking.

This helps me visualize it all better & also figure out if someone needs something else to fill out their stocking or if you overbought & actually need to save a few things for Easter or even next year. But enough with my overthinking, let’s get down to ideas for a 5 year old stocking :)

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for a 5 Year Old:

  1. Little Biscuits Dress Me Notepad - I came across this idea from a favorite follow on instagram & immediately added to cart. I love that you can color on outfits for each figure, or cut out paper clothing from different papers you might have. This shop has all sorts of different people figures to choose from so we’ll definitely be adding new ones in the new year!

  2. Origami paper - to accompany our Dress Me Notepads & also introduce the joy of folding paper!

  3. Glue sticks - for general crafting, while also aiding in the fun of paper clothing designs. We love to buy this style because it is so helpful to young & older alike to be able to see where glue was placed without overusing it & then - like magic! - watch the purple color disappear as it dries!

  4. Eco-Kids Bamboo Paint Brush - we love any & all art activities around here, & these are a fun addition to our painting supplies! This brush is super soft & seems like great quality

  5. Kid craft scissors - also for general crafting & to accompany the paper clothing designs. I split these up, one for each stocking & will introduce the others at some point in the future. The ones I ordered are currently out of stock, but these look similar

  6. Ostheimer angel - adding the last ones to our Christmas angel collection :)

  7. Billes mini marbles set - we love all of our sets of Billes marbles & these minis are perfect for stocking stuffers or gifts!

  8. Olive & June nail polish - our favorite brand & I love that they’re 15 free

  9. Grech & Co sunglasses - these are our favorite sunglasses brand for kids & it was time for some new ones

  10. Predan tree - I have long admired this toy brand & was so excited to finally buy a few items from them :)

  11. Old Maid game - excited to start adding more games to our collection & this seems like a great one for taking places

  12. Ostheimer barrel - I have been trying to track these down for years & finally found some this year at Modern Rascals! Excited for these because they have a removable top that allows you to “fill” the barrels with tiny things

  13. Ouistitine puppet - I have admired the incredible detail of these puppets for awhile & am excited to finally buy our first from this brand!

While some of the links above are affiliate, most of them are linked to wonderful small shops like The Wooden Wagon, Bitte Shop, Modern Rascals, Mama Owl, & Kinder Playroom & thoughtful brands like Little Biscuits & Ouistitine.

Thanks for joining me on this journey through a 5 year old’s Christmas stocking! I hope you found some of this helpful :)

For other stocking stuffer ideas, try these for: an 18-24 month old & a 4 year old.
