Stocking Stuffer Ideas for an 18-24 Month Old
Welcome to another roundup of stocking stuffer ideas! Stocking stuffers are things that I love to source (almost more than buying gifts if I’m honest!): something about the challenge of finding small things that fit into a stocking & also are of interest to the recipient is fun to me :) My general criteria is that I am looking for things that are 1. not primarily candy & 2. will see more play than just the week following Christmas.
This was the stocking I put together last year for our then 21 month old & for the most part all of these items still get regular play, even a year later!
Stocking Stuffer Ideas for an 18-24 month old:
Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks from A to Z - this book is an instant favorite! It’s a much quicker read than the longer version & easy for little hands to hold
Ostheimer angel - these are so cute to have out leading up to Christmas & I love that they rock!
Hazel Village mini animals - we love to collect these & Hazel Village always designs such cute ones
Melissa & Doug Water Wow Pad - these are so great to take to restaurants, waiting rooms, etc to occupy little hands :)
Ostheimer puppy - we’re big Ostheimer fans over here, but the puppies easily rank in the top 5 favorites for my kids. They really are so cute & are easy for little hands to hold onto during their adventures.
Grapat Little Thing - I love how it can be top, a cup, a little face - so open ended!
Mini baking set - I picked these up from the Target dollar spot last year, & they have been so great for sensory play, as well as real baking! Here is something similar that could work
Holztiger flamingo - another fun one for little hands!
Stickers - I bought this pack back in 2020, & have grabbed a sheet or 2 at a time for stocking stuffers, Easter baskets or random moments in between, & I still have plenty leftover for another few years of gifting!
As a family tradition, we also add in an orange & apple to everyone’s stockings. I grew up always having those in my stocking - something that was a holdover from my grandparents & a reminder that even a simple piece of fruit can be a luxury to have.
While some of the links above are affiliate, most of them are linked to wonderful small shops & sites like The Wooden Wagon, Hazel Village & Bitte Shop.
I hope this was helpful! I’m going to try to post a round up of our stocking stuffers for this Christmas in the coming days.
